                    DIVA DISCOVERY OF THE WEEK: DIORSHOW MASCARA

Ok, Ok, we all say J’adore Dior but lets be honest and admit we’re normally referring to shoes and purses. But have you ladies tried Diorshow Mascara? It’s to die for. Wait, more than to die for, it’s a beauty staple. The secret to this mascara is the XXL brush that is created to give your eye lashes extra volume.                                      Who likes swag? I do, I do!

Last weekend Xomad kicked off the Golden Globes with the Nivea For Men (NFM) gifting suite and evening soiree. Everyone who’s anyone was in attendance and it’s safe to say it was THE most talked about party in town. I couldn’t even log on-to my computer without seeing NFM posted on a website or social media site. NFM was more in use than LOL.

I took off for the NFM lounge Friday at 3pm. Normally, two hours at a Hollywood gifting suite is more than enough. I headed up to the Hills and arrived at the gorgeous mediterrenean estate of Pascal Mouawad, where I valeted my car and was greeted with a glass of champagne. I climbed the hill on a very fashionable blue carpet and reached the mansion where the gifting suite was held. Wait, did I say gifting suite? I should clarify. NFM lounge was not just a gifting suite. NFM lounge was a day spa AND a gifting suite. I realized that two hours at this lounge was not enough time. I’d definitely be back there on Saturday.

As I wandered through the maze of the house I was greeted with many different booths. First stop, the Pandora Jewels booth. I, of course, had to make myself an adorable charm bracelet. I know what you’re thinking, a Diva-charm bracelet? But Pandora Jewels has the adult charm bracelet on lockdown. This is not your mother’s charm bracelet but a trendy version of it. After making my adorable bracelet I made my way to the next room where I spotted actress and star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Kyle Richards looking through adorable dresses by Lipsy. Also spotted was Mila Jovovich admiring the designer frocks. Across the room from Lipsy,Style Expert Lindsay Albanese was consulting the “Who’s Who” of Hollywood on what to wear, and how to wear it. I passed many other booths and then decided I was ready for some pampering myself.

The rest of the day was about beauty. I had an amazing manicure by a ROBB OPI manicurist and Miss Michelle Brione gave me a whole new look at the Valerie Beverly Hills cosmetic counter. I was looking fab and ready to show my man. Then I realized something- my man was missing. In fact, all the men were missing. Where did they go? Out of the corner of my eye I saw Michael Lohan head downstairs. He was followed by Ken Davitian. I needed to investigate what was going on down there.

I headed down the stairs and was greeted by a bar serving the finest scotch, tequilas and whiskies. To the left of the bar was a curtain and I heard what sounded like a large group of men watching football. But there’s no football at gifting suites….right? I peeled open the curtain and there the men were! Sprawled across theatre seats in a mancavish theatre watching the Steelers defeat the Ravens. Well it is the Nivea For MEN gifting suite I reminded myself. My boyfriend was nowhere in site so I followed the smell of cigars past the massage lounge and into another mancave. The men in this room were sampling many different fine cigars. After finally locating my boyfriend, I decided we should end the day with him getting a hot shave at the NFM barbershop. Thank you Nivea For Men for not only treating me like a Diva but also for making my boyfriend into a man that gives a damn!

                      BBM Lounge 3.0: We Like You, We Really Like You!

Everyone who is anyone was at BBM Lounge 3.0 last Thursday, but the truth is I didn’t think everyone in that select group could even get in! Xomad once again outdid themselves with the third BBM Lounge of the year, giving party goers the privilege of not only being pampered for a night, but also by treating them to Mark Salling’s record release party.

BBM Lounge 3.0 started off even more exclusive than the last. This time guests were not just sent a photo to get into the party, they were added to a BBM invite group. Once in this small, privileged invite group, instructions were given on how to gain access to the party. First the address was sent out. The Lounge was held at Hollywood hotspot MyHouse. Next parking and check-in instructions were sent to the group. Xomad was smart enough to have guests check-in at the parking garage next door to the club. This prevented party crashers from even having the chance to get into the lot. Those unfortunate, uninvited guests at the front of the club had no idea that just standing by the front door of MyHouse was a sign they weren’t invited. Lastly, a photo was sent to group members so that they may gain access to a credential that would get them into the VIP Lounge upstairs.

After going through security a beautiful Blackberry Concierge representative welcomed party-goers and escorted them right into the club. Inside, there was a huge stage set-up for the main event of the evening: Mark Salling’s performance. There was also a photo booth with fun props so guests could take numerous pictures to always remember the BBM Lounge experience. Plus I hear the photo booth also helped many remember what happened that night! Let’s just say the open Svedka Vodka bar allowed people to let really loose.
 
Upstairs in the VIP Lounge the party was even more exclusive. To the right of the area was a red carpet and press wall where Mr. Salling himself took photos with fans. Well, only those that had Blackberrys of course. To the left of the room hors d’oeuvres were passed. There were also tables where you could scan for any drink you wanted because there’s no need to go to the bar if you’re a Blackberry VIP. I got my Svedka/Tonic in less than 1 minute with the simple scan of a barcode with my Blackberry. Can we please make this standard service everywhere in Hollywood? As guests mixed and mingled with the likes of Quinton Aaron, Karina Smirnoff and Mena Suvari, Mark Salling took the stage. Mark had the crowd captivated as he sang numerous tracks off his album “Pipe Dreams.”  After his set Mark spent time with his many adoring fans. Can we give him the “Nicest Actor in Hollywood” award? As the party came to a close and the Blackberry Lemonade stopped flowing guests of the party headed home to notice a large group of people still waiting outside. Most of them whispered “I have to get a Blackberry before the next BBM Lounge.”
